Our Group Lead is a Fulbright Scholar! Hurray!
The group lead for the NeTroDis Research Group, Dr
K. B. Otabil, has been awarded the prestigious Fulbright African Visiting
Scholar Program from the Embassy of the United States of America. This program,
funded by the United States Department of State and administered by the Council
for International Exchange of Scholars (CIES), offers senior faculty members
from Ghanaian universities, the opportunity to conduct research at U.S.
institutions for a minimum of three (3) months and a maximum of nine (9)
months. The selection process and final award of grants are extremely
competitive.
The award is funding a technology transfer and
collaborative research visit to the University of California San Diego in the
USA. During this visit, NeTroDisOH, Ecology Research Group at CeRAB and the
Department of Biological Science, UENR will discuss prospects for joint grant
applications, students and staff exchange opportunity, and technology transfer
from UCSD to NeTroDisOH.
